Dr. Chetan Gaonkar

About him : He completed his PhD from VTU in the field of Technical Acoustics (Mechanical Engineering) in 2024 and his Master’s degree in Machine Design from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Davangere, under VTU in 2013. In 2010, he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna, Goa, affiliated with Goa University.

Work Experience :

He has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department at Don Bosco College of Engineering for the past 10 years. Prior to this, he worked as a lecturer at RMCET, Devrukh, Ratnagiri, for 6 months. He also has industry experience, having worked as a Design and Development Engineer at Protek Systems, Sancoale, Goa, for 1 year.

  • Design, analysis, and fabrication of an impedance tube to measure the acoustic properties of the material

  • Design Analysis and Fabrication of Roll Cage for an All-Terrain Vehicle
